When Winter weather arrives cold protein drinks and blended protein shakes lose some of their appeal. Do you know you can make hot protein drinks? There are many delicious options to get your protein intake with a hot drink. Here are some of my favorite super simple hot protein drink recipes.

 Protein Coffee

1 Cup Coffee

1/2 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

1 Scoop Protein Powder

Mix almond milk and protein powder in a shaker. Add to coffee. Heat mixture if it is too cool and enjoy! This is my number one go-to for hot protein drinks. It is so easy to make. I really like it with French Vanilla Protein Powder. It tastes just like a Vanilla Latte! This recipe is great iced too.


Protein Hot Chocolate

1 Cup Waterprotein hot chocolate

1/2 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

1 Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder

Heat liquids to temperature. Quickly whisk in protein powder. Pour into a mug and enjoy!

You can also try this recipe with a packet of sugar-free hot chocolate mix and a different protein flavor. So yummy!


Gingerbread Latte

1/2 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

1/4 Cup Coffee

1 Scoop Protein Powder

2 Tsp. Sugar-Free Caramel Syrup

Mix water and protein first in a shaker. Pour in a small saucepan with caramel syrup. Heat to temperature. Pour into a mug and sip away!


Mint Hot Chocolate Float

1 Sugar-Free Hot Chocolate Packet

1 Cup Hot Water

1 Scoop Protein Powder

2 Small Scoops of Halo Top Vanilla Ice Cream

Crushed Peppermint Candies

Make hot chocolate, whisk in protein, top with scoops of ice cream and peppermint candies. Then sit back and enjoy this hot/cold delight!


Protein Apple Cider

1 Hot Apple Cider Packet

1 Cup Hot Water

1 Scoop Protein Powder

1 Cinnamon Stick

Make hot apple cider, whisk in protein, stir with cinnamon stick, and sip away.

 * TIP- Mix protein powder in a small amount of room temperature water before adding to hot beverages. This helps to achieve a smoother blend without lumps.
